The client, a major producer of various types of plastic pipes for the African market, experienced a failure of an old ABB ACS550 drive powering one of their PVC pipe production lines. This fault posed a significant risk to production continuity. Team Teknifix was contacted to assess the issue and provide a sustainable solution. After detailed troubleshooting and evaluation, our team recommended and executed a full upgrade from ABB ACS550 to the more advanced ABB ACS580 drive system.
