A steel processing and rolling mill in Sango experienced a communication fault on its ABB ACS880 drive, resulting in loss of control and disruption to production operations. The client engaged Team Teknifix to diagnose and restore the affected drive.

Comprehensive troubleshooting was carried out on the drive’s input, output, and control circuits to isolate the source of the fault. Diagnostics confirmed compromised communication board within the control circuit was responsible for the failure.

The defective board was replaced with an OEM-certified spare part, followed by system checks and functional testing. Upon completion, the ABB ACS880 drive was successfully restored to operation, allowing production activities to resume without further issues.
